I noticed your help links in your siggy so I am definitely going to bookmark that page. Thanks again.ĮDIT: OK, I went ahead and put Steam in the same folder as NMM just to avoid problems. I just want this to be done correctly and it seems like little things like this really matter. I can only hope this will help other people new to modding who are as confused as I am. Is that correct? Or does it need to be in C:\Games with the NMM? Will there be problems if I leave Steam in the desktop "Games Folder"?

I put Steam into a a folder I named "Games Folder" on my desk top because I read that is what I should do if I am going to be using mods and also because Windows causes issues with Steam if Steam is in the C:\Programs folder.

Should I install NMM into C:\Games as well and not Programs? I'm thinking yes base on your locations below. I should probably just go with these I'm thinking? Install INfo: C:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Install Info Mod Directory: C:\Games\Nexus Mod Manager\Skyrim\Mods These were the default locations that came up when I started NMM. And from looking at your locations I understand that I don't need to have the mods and install info in the Steamapps folder.

In the Steam workshop itself, if you hover your mouse over any particular item. The numbers for each folder are the unique Steam id's used to identify each item. Inside this folder will be other numbered folders containing the mods/assets you have subscribed to. I understand what you mean about the zipped and unzipped files and why they need to go in different files. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content'a numbered folder'. The forward slash was a typo when making this post.
