They take several homing attacks to kill, just like in SA2, OR you can tear them down much faster and from a much safer distance with a gun. While you can one-shot normal enemies in SA2 as a game mechanic, the bosses show us Shadow's not so powerful he can just defeat any enemy with a single blow.Ī good way to illustrate the point is the Big Foot/Hot Shot types of mech, which actually appear as normal enemies in ShTH. The problem I have with this argument is people seem to assume Shadow can just one-shot any enemy without a gun, like he's some Goku or Sephiroth level of power. It would be interested to see a fan-game similar to that Sonic 06 project that changes things like that about Shadow, or some mock-ups of different presentation Shadow blowing through an opposing force using a powerful gun isn't really that big a deal, but menus that are always on fire and make gunshot noises are a little too on the nose for most I really think it's the gritty intro and presentation that puts people off of Shadow the Hedgehog as a whole Plus in the context of the game itself, every weapon he picks up already belongs to somebody else, it's not that bizarre that he picks them up off the ground and uses them. I wish Shadow the Hedgehog hadn't made the idea of him working for G.U.N weirder than it is, but I like the idea of Shadow being that kind of force, and him having a mandated firearm would make enough sense really Nothing really wrong with it though, maybe Shadow just likes using guns I could believe it. I think part of what makes it weird to people is that Shadow is capable on his own without any firearms
